I always hated standing out as different in school. I admit I put my kids through it and hope they forgive me. I'll never understand how I could have been so stupid. My grandchildren will never have to go through that. Thank goodness they woke up to the stupidity of it all.

I always loved watching "The Rifleman". Old Lucus Boy was really a good guy. And Mark was a cutie! To bad they don't make shows like that anymore. I always enjoyed Gunsmoke too. How about you? Festus was so funny.

What About JWD Has Been Special To You???
by minimus inwhen i was exiting, i would read this board and i learned a lot.
there were tons of people that were realizing the truth about the organization.
i had already read critical books about jws but this site was a daily, regular "spiritual feeding".

JWD has helped me realise that my feelings and doubts that I've had all these years were real and that others felt the same way, that I'm normal, not bad person. The main thing though is that I've made several new friends. That is the most important thing to me.

I'd say # 3 but I wish you would really buy it so we could keep this up and running. It's been a life saver for me and I will really miss it.

I had a phone call after my daughtrer's wedding and was told that since it was performed by a preacher first of all I should'nt have attended!!!!!!! Then the 2 sisters that offered to help with the reception should'nt have. Now the wedding was held in the park, no church, the reception was a rented place, again no church, plus the preacher did'nt even go to the reception. I was so pissed off after that phone call that I think that is what really started my thinking about the other stupid things we have all been counciled for. I'll never let a man treat me like that again.

How many kids never buy into the JW B/S???
by navytownroger inat the conventions, there always seem to be parents gushing about how their kids are 'in the truth', pioneering, etc.
i'm wondering how many jw kids just flat-out reject all the jw b/s right from the start.
surely there are some kids who just say 'no way!

I would say that 95% of the kids at the cong I went to left when they were old enough. Way to many rules and not enough fun. Even those that stayed did'nt seem happy.
